Previous Health Lottery Promotions

The Health Lottery has previously offered the following two promotions to their players; both have now ended but may appear again in the future. The following details of the two offers, Magic Monday and Second Chance Guaranteed Winner, are for information purposes only.

Health Lottery Hot Ticket
On the 21st July the Health Lottery introduced Hot Ticket codes which guarantees that £100,000 will be won in every draw regardless of whether or not the £100,000 is won in the main Health Lottery draw. Hot Ticket is a number which will be displayed on your ticket and if you match this special number drawn then you win £100,000. In addition to that from time to time the Health Lottery will give out special Hot Ticket prizes will can include cars, holidays and shopping sprees. However, these prizes are only available to win in a Saturday night Health Lottery draw and not a Wednesday night. However, on the 13th October 2012 this Health Lottery promotion ended.

Health Lottery Magic Monday
For all Health Lottery ticket holders there is an added bonus each and every week by way of the Magic Monday offers. Players, whether they are winners or not, have the opportunity to claim free gifts or discounts from some of the best known retailers. The date on your ticket shows the Magic Monday date that your ticket is valid for and details of the offers are available with the Health Lottery prize draw results.

Health Lottery Second Chance Guaranteed Winner

Should a Health Lottery draw fail to find a match five jackpot winner then the Second Chance Guaranteed Winner kicks in as this lottery will pay out their top prize each and every week of £100,000 even if the winner is not found in the traditional manner. Tickets have a reference number and it is this number that will make you a winner if it matches the number drawn at random by the Health Lottery.

How to Claim Health Lottery Prizes
If you purchased your ticket online and matched any of the three smaller combinations, then you will automatically receive the amount of £10, £20 and £50 respectively into your online account.  However, should you match one of the three higher combinations then you will need to contact the Health Lottery directly in order to claim the £100,000 prize.

If you purchased your ticket offline and match either two numbers plus Bonus Ball, three numbers or three numbers plus the Bonus Ball then you can visit any of the participating National Health Lottery retailers and claim your prize instantly.  Winners of the £250, £10,000 and £100,000 prizes can only claim their winnings by calling up the Health Lottery helpline, where their Winner Advisers will be able to give you all the necessary information required in order to collect your prize.

Key Facts about the National Health Lottery

Initially set up by Channel 5 owner Richard Desmond, the primary focus of the Health Lottery is to provide funding for services not currently covered by the NHS.  With 20.34p from each ticket going towards health-related good causes, it only barely meets the minimum 20p criteria required to constitute as a society lottery – in comparison to the 28p donated by the National Lottery, plus an additional 12p in lottery duty.
The odds of winning the Health Lottery jackpot are 2 million to 1, with the jackpot fixed at £100,000 irrespective of the number of people who win the top prize.
The Health Lottery changed its gameplay in May 2013. A Bonus Ball was added along with three new prize tiers.
